My name is Randa, I am originally from Palestine and grew up in Qatar and then moved to U.S.A. for college. I met my wonderful husband, Jemal and that was the start of a new chapter in my life.

When I had my first child (Sumayya), I knew that she was so precious to us and Allah had given her to us as a loan and our job as parents is to provide her with the best opportunity in life and raise her and her siblings with our best that both of us as parents could offer.

An online-school is some how similar to homeschooling except that you don’t have a mother to teach you instead it’s you and your laptop. The laptop means, online-teachers, videos and other multi-media technologies for support but at the end it is all up to the student to be successful or not.

An online-school has an actual school building, a campus where students can go for sports, arts, music, field trips and enrichment activities.

Children are our future. Sadly, today’s children are facing many challenges like weapons, drugs, gangs and peer pressure in public school environments. Once a relatively peaceful environment, many school grounds of today are becoming unsafe for both students and teachers. For these and many more reasons, parents might choose to home school their children in the US because they want to incorporate religious study and/or personal ethics into their curriculum.
