Ingredients:

  • 2 lb. salmon fillets
  • ½ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce (low sodium if available)
  • 3 garlic cloves – minced
  • 3 tbsp fresh minced ginger
  • 1 tsp roasted sesame seed
  • Chopped scallions

Place salmon fillets in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, prepare the sauce by mixing honey, soy sauce, sesame seeds, garlic and ginger. Pour it over the fillets. Cover and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes in the refrigerator. Remove from the sauce and arrange the fillets on a greased baking tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes in a preheated oven at 350F. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped scallions to garnish.

Pour the remaining sauce into a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. You can use this thickened sauce as an additional glaze over salmon fillets or as a dip next to the meal.
