Cacık is an authentic Turkish side dish that is usually consumed with starchy food.
- 1 medium cucumber peeled and grated (grate on the large holes of your grater)
- 1 cup of plain yogurt
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tbsp of extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp dry mint
- 1 clove of garlic (mashed)
- ½ tsp of salt
In a bowl first combine yogurt and water. Whisk until you get a smooth texture. Add cucumber, garlic, salt and dry mint and stir well. Top with olive oil. Serve in small bowls for single servings.
