Do you want a healthy alternative to your breakfast? Try this lentil bread recipe. It is more like a salty cake for a gluten-free diet.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup lentil (red or yellow)
  • ½ cup yogurt or kefir
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1 cup cheese (whichever you like)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ bunch dill
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sesame seed
  • 1 tsp black cumin seed

Recipe:

Soak lentils in water a night before. Strain the water and process the lentils in the food processor then mix it with the other ingredients in a bowl. Move the mixture into an oiled baking dish. Bake 30 min at 375 F (190 C).  

You can also get a pleasant taste by spreading muhammara on your lentil bread.
